Hello, my name is Monica Pickett-Pittman and I'd like to take this time and share with you a little something about my professional background in the industry of Cosmetology. I have been in the beauty industry 30 plus years. After working behind the chair as a stylist, I returned to beauty school in 2003, finished my required hours as a trainee and received my instructor’s license upon completion of the Washington State board exam.   

My choice to become an educator is more of a dedication to me than just a job. I wanted to be able to share  my passion and knowledge with those who were interested in learning professionally about the beauty industry; and while it has been my years of experience that has given me the skills to become a dynamic and motivating educator,  it’s my love for the art of hairdressing that sealed the deal.
